Adventures

Today my roommate and I set out on an adventure: to find the legendary underground passages beneath Calvin College. I know. You wish you were there.

It was actually pretty awesome. We figured out how to get from the Science Building to the Spoelhof Center to the Chapel and to Hiemenga Hall without ever seeing the light of day. Pretty cool.

We looked in vain for a way to get to the FAC, though. My roommate had heard there was one, but if it is there it remains hidden...

We did find a very random, very dark stairwell leading down beneath the FAC. Of course, we decided to check it out, until about halfway down I stepped on something in the dark, which fell down the stairs and made a loud noise.

We decided to go back up. :)

Anywho. This weekend I've got track practice, an English paper proposal, and DORM RETREAT!! I also might go to the first Calvin hockey game tonight. It would be a good way to cool off. It just got VERY humid...

A bien tot!

Underground tunnels sound dangerous. They're like...cesspools for rape and muggings.

ooo you have to show me where they are... i heard that there was one from BTH to North Hall but no one can remember where it is. so my guess is that there isn't one... plus it's like 50 yards way so it's not that big of a deal to walk in the cold for like 30 seconds.

ooo! secret passages! how cool! you'll have to show me when i come visit some day.

oh, to answer your questions on your post below:
1.) i would be a reindeer with a red nose so i could fly to the north pole where santas elves live!
2.) i would be at the north pole with you so we could sing about santa’s elves!
3.) i would write a childrens book on how some girl named Ra, who was very tall and high jumped, wanted to be an elf so she could sing all day with her friend named Da, who was not as tall, but still did high jump. then how Ra went to the north pole and was an out cast because she was too tall to be an elf, but Da decided to be her friend and they went to Japan together so they could live with the pandas and sing...the end!

and yes, i know pandas live in China, not Japan. :)
