Did you know we have green sea turtles living in the San Gabriel river? That's the riverbed that runs right by Valley. My dad came home from work one day and claimed he had seen a sea turtle in the riverbed, and we weren't sure whether or not to believe him because they're only supposed to live in tropical waters. Like in Hawaii and stuff.
But then just a few days ago there was an article in the paper about how a colony of sea turtles has been seen in the San Gabriel river, living down near the power plant. I think it's in Seal Beach... not sure. Pretty close to the ocean. What do ya know?
So early yesterday morning Hannah and my dad and I rode our bikes down there and stood watching for sea turtles in the water by the power plant.
And we actually saw some.
Or one. Not sure.
I thought that was pretty cool.

i'm SO sorry we didn't get to see eachother one last time before you left! but when you return for christmas we WILL hang out!
i am glad, however, that we got to get yummy creps one morning...definitely a highlight of my summer :)
